Criteria
A Full Member is a person who is and has been active in a Locations Department either as Supervising Manager, Manager, Coordinator, Scout or On-Set Location Manager. Applicants need to show a minimum of 3 years working in a Locations Department or in a freelance capacity.

Criteria
An Active Member is a person who has recently joined the Locations Department and is building their career. Applicants could be Location Assistants, Scouts, On - Set managers, Location Runners and Assistant Coordinators and Managers.

Criteria
An Apprentice Member is a person that is being mentored or on work experience, a student
studying film. This member needs to supply in writing why they are interested in being involved in the Locations Department. Minimum age of 16 years is required to apply. An
Apprentice Member after gaining experience in the department can be voted in as an Active Member and eventually become a Full Member.

Criteria
An Associate Member is a person who is involved in aiding or helping to facilitate in a production, but is NOT a member of the Locations Department.
An Associate Member may be a person or company that covers other associated departments: i.e Traffic Control, Safety, Stunts, Local Councils, Production Assistants, Runners and ADs.
An Associate Member may also be a sponsor or dignitary who is invited by ALMG to join the Guild.

An Honorary Member is a person or company involved / associated with the screen industry: such as Film / Production Houses, Producers, Directors, Art Department, Production Office staff, Camera Department, State Film Commissions, Educational Film Study Departments, State Councils, Government Agencies etc.

Criteria
A Life Member is a person who has spent a minimum of 20 years in the Location Department having Feature and Television or TVC credits as a Supervising Location Manager or Location Manager. They are retired or have reduced their involvement in the screen industry. On an annual basis the committee will vote to gift a lifetime membership to a successful candidate from a shortlist who have been nominated by members.
